Undergraduate
This fingerprint research project will involve working with NIST staff in developing and testing software to support NIST work in focus areas of fingerprint image capture quality, fingerprint performance testing, or latent fingerprint image quality. Potentially more than one depending on the rate of progress and completion of the work. This research provides technical research, results, and source code that are critical to the development of international standards in these focus areas. The work will require coding in C++ in a linux environment and scripting to support automated testing/reporting. The prospective intern would gain knowledge in the area of biometric matching, quality, and performance testing.
