Overview
This position supports collaborative research on extended-reality–assisted forensic scene digitization.
The work involves developing spatial data processing pipelines, handling large multi-view imaging
datasets, designing automation workflows for reproducible research, and contributing to immersive VR-
based visualization tools for scene exploration and analysis. The role combines spatial computing, data
engineering, secure data handling, and interactive system development.

Qualifications
- Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Experience or familiarity with spatial data, computer graphics, XR/VR, or related technical areas.
- Experience in software development using languages such as Python, C#, Java, or similar.
- Ability to work with data processing workflows, datasets, or research software tools.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative research environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Research Proposal
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with processing and organizing spatial or multi-view imaging data used in forensic
scene reconstruction. - Contributing to workflows for transforming, cleaning, or preparing datasets for analysis or
visualization. - Supporting development of tools or pipelines for handling large forensic or XR-related datasets.
- Assisting in the design or refinement of visualization components for scene inspection or
researcher interaction. - Participating in reproducible research practices, such as documenting procedures, evaluation
results, and relevant software artifacts. - Collaborating with researchers to integrate data processing, visualization, and supporting
utilities into ongoing project efforts.
