Overview

The student will work with NCNR Reactor Engineering on developing and maintaining custom codes, web applications, and Windows services.

Qualifications
  • A student in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1 years of relevant experience. 
  • Knowledge of computer programming languages - C++, Java, PHP, C#, MATLAB, VB.NET.
  • Familiarity with multiple scripting languages. 
  • Ability to develop prototypes of tools needed to analyze data. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
Research Proposal

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Computer Programming support for the NCNR Reactor Operations and Engineering. 
  • Assist in the administration and the maintenance of the NBSR reactor data transfer, trending, and historian servers. Implement data analytics software to analyze NBSR data. 
  • Work with the NCNR engineering staff to aid with the implementation of custom web pages. Provide maintenance for the NBSR custom web site, webservices, data trending, industrial process monitoring and data analytics software suits. 
  • Propose and implement a cybersecurity plan for the NBSR digital control systems. Provide troubleshooting support for existing NBSR digital control systems.
