Overview

We are seeking a Senior Materials Modeler to work  on the development of high-precision materials property databases for metallic and ceramic materials, aimed at accelerating product development in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. The position is limited by the duration of project which will conclude end of September 2027.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of CALPHAD thermodynamic and kinetic databases for materials used in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Design and optimize new material systems using computational modeling tools, collaborating with experimental teams for validation.

Develop comprehensive frameworks combining computational and experimental methods to construct accurate material property databases.

Senior Materials Modeler - High-Precision Materials Property Databases Development

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, with significant postdoctoral or industry experience in materials design and computational modeling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in CALPHAD method and tools such as Pandat and Thermo-Calc.
  • Proven publication record and experience leading significant projects in materials modeling, particularly in areas relevant to advanced manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to materials science, such as Python, MATLAB, and C++.
Research Proposal
  • Prior experience in a lead role within a materials design team, particularly in a semiconductor or related high-tech industry.
  • Familiarity with experimental validation techniques such as X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis.
  • Excellent communication, including written communication, skills.
