Graduate Student Associate in Dynamic Mechanical Metrology

Overview

The work will entail research, carried out in collaboration with NIST staff, in the field of dynamic mechanical metrology, to include numerical simulations, analytical measurements, laboratory experiments and measurements, writing up of research results as reports and publications, and presentation of research results.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Current enrollment in a graduate program in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Recommendation by university research advisor or department head

Research Proposal

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Analysis of measurement results
• Coding in Python, Matlab or Labview
