Identifying and developing metrics for NIST's Artificial Intelligence (AI) efforts to assess industrial uptake and impact

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business/Economics, Social Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence, statistical analysis, and data collection.
• Understanding of American government and politics
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Research Proposal

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Become familiar with NIST’s AI outputs and stakeholders
• Perform a literature review and analysis on various approaches and metrics to measure uptake and impact
• Perform a detailed analysis using relevant statistical tools of the status and uptake of NIST AI outputs and provide metrics on impacts and trends
• Through this analysis, provide recommendations on opportunity areas where NIST should dedicate resources to realize greater impact of our AI outputs.
